The grinding wheels are in very good shape and appear to be relatively new.  It will handle blades up to 20" long.

 This machine has 2 grinding heads: one is a rough grinding head, the other is a superfine lapping head for mirror-finishing blades.  This system produces a razor-sharp edge on your blades.

A great feature of this grinder is that you don't have to adjust the blade angle when changing from rough grinding to finish grinding.  The grinding wheels are preset at the perfect angle for both. This machine can be used on all straight edge blades, such as planers and supersurfacers.  When used on the blades of the Marunaka Supersurfacer (pictured to the left of the grinder) you can achieve the thinnest of shavings.
